Lunchtime Talks

Talk

Please note: This event took place in March 2017

Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.

Open Online Theatre is a new way of creating performance art. It’s an online space where audiences can interact with artists to create performances together, from anywhere in the world.

The platform is connected to social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest), meaning you can interact with art through online spaces you already use. You can watch social streams, comment and co-create within the platform itself.

Open Online Theatre was created by IJAD Dance Company. This week we are joined by IJAD Creative Director Joumana Mourad who will share the platform up until now and discuss where next for co-created performances.

The Pervasive Media Studio is located within the Watershed building. Let us know if you'd like a tour and we'll be happy to show you around. Send an email to studio@watershed.co.uk
