Towako (Yu Aoi, who can also been seen in Japanese Girls Never Die), lives with Jinji, an older man who caters for her in every way, but doesn't get anything else back in return. Despite Jinji's devotion, she still carries a torch for her violent ex, so calls him on a whim, only to discover he's been missing for eight years - ever since the day he nearly beat her to death.
