Wes Anderson returns with this brilliant stop-motion story set in a dystopian Japan where dogs have been exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island.

In Megasaki City, the cat-lovers have the upper hand, and with outbreaks of dog flu and snout fever, the Mayor has quarantined all dogs on a nearby island. However, 12 year old Atari defies the authorities to embark (sorry) on a daring rescue mission to the island to save his beloved dog Spots. There he meets a group of abandoned pooches determined to join in with the search (the pack of talent in the voice cast includes Bryan Cranston, Jeff Goldblum, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray and more).

Inspired by Anderson's love of Japan and Japanese cinema (particularly Hayao Miyazaki and Akira Kurosawa), this is an affectionate and funny film with a dark heart (don't be fooled by the cute furry faces, this film has bite). A loving look at the relationship between man and man's best friend, and the joy of finding your pack. We love it and so will you!
