BeDevil is the stunning debut feature from Tracey Moffatt and the first feature directed by an Australian Aboriginal woman.

Inspired by ghost stories she heard as a child from both her extended Aboriginal and Irish Australian families, Tracey Moffatt has constructed a sublime trilogy in which characters are haunted by the past and bewitched by memories - real, remembered and imagined. These contemporary tales travel from the sparseness of the outback, through the murky, rotting swamps of the islands, to the Brisbane docks in a stylish vision.

A Black Atlantic Cinema Club event, presented by Autograph ABP.

Tracey Moffatt's short film Nice Coloured Girls (1987) is also screening as part of Women of the Periphery Shorts (Sun 29 July 12:30).
