Bring Your Own Animation

Anim18: A Celebration of British Animation

Event

Please note: This event took place in Sept 2018

Bring Your Own Animation is a free screening and networking event for adults interested in animation, design and the wider animation industry. It is an opportunity to bring and showcase your own work, get valuable feedback and get to know others in and around the community. This month at Bring Your Own Animation we are delighted to be joined by Jammy Custard.

Jammy Custard is an animation studio based in Cardiff that specialises in digital 2D. Started 7 years ago by old college friends Matthew Creed (Head of Animation) and Patrick Hathaway (Producer and Accounts Director), most of the Jammy's work has been commercially-led and for the likes of The National Trust, Superdrug and Three UK. They provide animation services to SME's, the arts and public sector institutions across the UK, but particularly Cardiff and the South West.

One of the studio's proudest moments of 2017 was to have a piece shown in the United Nations HQ in New York, as part of an exhibition about the destruction and rebirth of Palmyra in Syria. The studio has now begun making steps into series production and original IP.

The team love getting stuck into a music video or a passion project, and one particular example is the most recent music video for 80's glam-rockers Tigertailz. Matt will be providing insight into the on-going 'mammoth' production for the single "Bloodsuckers".
