Things go bump in the night and then some in this clanking, crashing, screeching Irish horror about a woman whose son’s behaviour unnervingly alters after finding a sinkhole in the forest near their house.

After running away from an abusive relationship with her husband, Sarah and her son Chris relocate to a cottage in rural Ireland. One night Chris disappears into the forest next to the house and as Sarah frantically searches for him she discovers a looming sinkhole hidden between the trees. Much to her relief, Chris returns seemingly safe and sound; but as the days and nights roll by, Sarah starts noticing subtle differences in his behaviour that become increasingly disturbing, causing her to believe the little boy living in her house might not be her son at all.

Stunningly eerie with a musical score takes no prisoners (it has been described as 'blasting out like the trumpets of hell’ and ‘like it’s been composed by satan on a cocaine bender’) Lee Cronin’s debut feature is a formidable work of suspense, terror and folklore that will truly dig its claws in.
