The Crafts Council and the Internet of Things Lab

On Friday 11th November, Crafts Council and iShed produced The Internet of Things Ideas Lab at Watershed.
The Internet of Things describes a growing interest and economy around the production of buildings, vehicles, objects and clothing with built in sensors and computer networks which allow 'physical things' to communicate with users and with each other. This trend is inspiring technologists and product designers across the world so the idea of the workshop was to explore what this might mean in the world of craft.
The event brought together 80 makers, engineers, technologists and experts where the subject was explored and new ideas generated. A video of the event shot and edited by Tim Crawley:
