The Studio has collaborated with renowned audiovisual artists ‘The Sancho Plan’ to launch their latest interactive musical experience at the BBC Big Screen in Bristol. Players will be able to control their own animated singing characters through the use of Augmented Reality technology. However, it’s only when several players can combine their characters that they can discover new collaborative harmonies and rhythms.

Augmented Reality, now becoming popular in advertising and phone applications, uses physical (computer-generated) symbols to pull animations and graphics out of the screen and into the real world, blurring the line between digital and physical experiences.

The Sancho Plan make pieces which focuses on the act of making music together as a unique form of artistic collaboration. See more of their work at www.thesanchoplan.com.

Come, watch and play with us on Thursday 25th March, 12 - 2pm BBC Big Screen, Millennium Square, Bristol

No previous musical knowledge is required. The piece is playable by up to four players at a time and players may be filmed for inclusion in a promotional film about the piece.

Supported by Arts Council England and The Pervasive Media Studio.

Thank you to At-Bristol for their kind support of the event.
