This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and highly organised graduate to join a leading cross-artform organisation as a project and events coordinator. This one-year, entry level post offers the opportunity to learn and hone project facilitation skills and develop excellent relationships across creative, digital and academic organisations. This role will provide a brilliant grounding in the skills and knowledge necessary to be a successful producer working in the arts.

This role is supported by the DCMS Jerwood Creative Bursaries Scheme.

About you:

This entry level role will suit an enthusiastic Arts graduate who is willing to organise and facilitate a diverse range of events and projects in collaboration with groups and individuals from creative, digital and academic organisations. You will be highly motivated and eager to learn and contribute to iShed’s innovative work. You will be a good team player and keen to understand the opportunities and challenges presented by this position. You will have an interest in arts and technology; and a flexible adventurous and collaborative approach to work.

Please note that applicants must be Arts students who graduated in 2009 (or will graduate in summer 2010). Eligibility criteria apply to this post so please read the job description carefully.

About iShed:

iShed is part of Watershed, Britain’s first dedicated Media and Communications Centre. We lead on cross-artform projects, enabling and supporting emerging practice and collaboration between computing, communication and the creative industries. Our projects include: Media Sandbox, a commissioning scheme enabling individuals, organisations and companies to research emerging possibilities in digital media; Theatre Sandbox, a national scheme funded by Arts Council, for theatre artists to research and develop new digital ideas and the Studio's Artists' Residency scheme.

About the scheme:

The DCMS Jerwood Creative Bursaries Scheme provides opportunities for high-achieving Arts graduates from less affluent backgrounds, to gain entry-level placements within arts organisations in their first year after university. It enables those who would not otherwise be in a position to develop their knowledge and skills through unpaid work experience, to get their feet on the career ladder.
