It was a cold, moonless night.....

strike that- cold, moonless morning...

strike that- by the time we'd fully awoken and gotten to Bristol it was a bright, shiny and sparkly world.

We've just finished our first week at the PM Studio. And I couldn't be more excited. I don't know whether it's just because of the shiny whiteboard the length of my kitchen wall and the multicoloured pens left unwittingly at my disposal or the wealth of friendly faces and knowledge peeking around every corner, or the fact that for the first time in two years of running the Guerilla Dance Project I've been offered a chance to spend 2 months thinking and developing our work.

Quite possibly its all of the above:

Discoveries so far: we think the key to our challenge (sounds like I'm in the middle of playing ITV's Nightmare) is the objects we use- using those as instigators and activators of sound and composition.

Discover-the-second: There is a reason why my GDP choreography is always performed by 4 or more dancers- on it's own it's so subtle it's almost invisible and it's actually the reflection the people-watchers see in their peripheral vision of four people doing the same movement that makes it special. Glad to know I was instinctively doing something good.

Discovery-the-third: Slightly unrelated but the feedback is in- our new dance game Eye-Spy works. it's gorgeous subtle and delicate. I think that frees us to make something alot more random......

Signing off. Laura
