Researcher and composer, Dom Schlienger would like to hear your views and experiences of local positioning systems. Dom recently joined us in the Studio to kick off his work with an open meeting exploring the possibilities and tensions in using such systems.

Existing indoor and local positioning systems (I/LPS) provide a range of creative possibilities for interactive, immersive and spatial applications in audio technology. However, despite the availability of such systems, most people who work with them, or develop ideas around these concepts seem to find that the available technology does not provide them with what they require.

Have you had similar experiences? - Are you working with a system which works just fine for you?

With the view to developing suitable systems for gaming, multimedia, performance-art and dance and spatial music composition, Dom feels that these requirements need to be better established and would like to invite you to share your ideas and thoughts.

Your contribution will help to shape user requirements on I/LPS for interactive and immersive audio applications as part of Dom's MSc in Audio Production.

Please take 10 mins to lend you thoughts to the mix by filling in the survey below.
