Auroch Digital are looking for women interested in developing their technical and/or creative skills as game developers. Want to create games but don't feel you have the technical know-how? Interested in becoming a games developer but unsure how to go about it? Then the XX Workshops might be the answer.

The XX workshops are a series of four free 2 hour sessions where experienced game developers work with you to make the crossover from your discipline into creating games. The sessions match the learning to your skill level and there is lots of support. All you need to take part in them is to be free on the session dates below, be based in Bristol to take part and lots of enthusiasm and creativity.  Some technical skills will help too and you'll need to bring your own laptop or PC with Windows XP or above to run the temporary GameMaker Studio licenses we have for you to work with to create your game.

This initiative is about encouraging more women into the games industry as there are currently only 6% of female developers. The XX workshops are being produced by Auroch Digital (who also produced the XX Game Jam, the worlds first all-women games development event) along with Dr. Helen Kennedy of Brighton University with support from the DCRC, FiG and hosted by the Studio.

Session dates: 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd May from 6.30-8.30pm
