So no one, not even the Twitter CEO, knows quite what is going on a Twitter HQ at the moment. But it's certainly a good moment to pause for thought. We have over 14k followers on Twitter and many of you reading this post will likely follow us there. It is very uncertain what will happen next with and it is likely it will still be here next week, but we are just preparing for all eventualities. For those of you who also want to prepare, or to follow us elsewhere, you can find us on the following platforms:

  1. Instagram

  2. LinkedIn

  3. Mastodon - this is currently a mirror of our Twitter account but if Twitter goes down completely then we will probably move here so do follow us there

  4. YouTube

And…if you want to find out how to follow all things Watershed, check this out.

If you are considering moving over to Mastodon, and want to start using it, here is a guide on what it is (big hint - it's not just another Twitter) and a guide on how to go about using it. And this is a handy tool that will help you find the followers you have on Twitter, and the people following you. You can import them all to Mastodon using a CSV file. Bear in mind that Mastodon is being hit with a huge influx of new users so things might be a bit slow on there over the next couple of days at least.

For those of you already on there (we know it’s been around for quite some time already) - or who want to know what server to join, Martin O'Leary (our Creative Technologist) has compiled some recommendations below. There may be some that are closed temporarily whole Mastodon deals with all the new users.
