Playful Art for Public Places: Watershed New Talent Residency 2016
Exploring ways to combine art and technology, to create social and playful experiences between strangers.I am working at Pervasive Media Studio as one half of artist duo, One Five West, with Anna Horton. Together we make artworks for the public realm to encourage participation, interactivity and play between people.
Our most recent position was on an Arts+Tech accelerator programme at MadLab, Manchester, a national pilot set up by Arts Council England and Innovate UK to support artists working at the intersections of art and technology. Here, we created portable interactive artworks, ‘Larks’, that can be hooked, stuck and strapped outside to transform sites into places of play.
At Pervasive Media Studio, we are looking to expand our practice working in the public realm, by exploring how digital technology can create social and playful experiences between strangers.
