Street Scene tells the story of the many different people who live their lives in the tenements of New York City's Hell’s Kitchen.

Mrs Marrant (Estelle Taylor) is the centre of neighbourhood gossip, and has been seeing the local milkman behind her husband's back.

When Mr Marrant takes a trip out of town, the two lovers have a tragic meeting when her husband doubles back. The confrontation will change everyone's lives forever on the street.

Directed by the great King Vidor (The Crowd, The Big Parade, Dual in the Sun) Street Scene is a fascinating, funny, harrowing and powerful pre-code film.

This screening is the UK Premiere of the brand new 4K restoration thanks to The Mary Pickford Foundation. Screening in partnership with Bristol Ideas. Part of Festival of the Future City.
