An inspiring and immersive new film, designed to introduce a generation of children to ten pieces of classical music. From baroque to contemporary, each piece will be introduced by a celebrity presenter, and performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. As the high profile fanfare for an extraordinary nationwide project, the Ten Pieces film will fire the imagination of every child that sees it, making them hungry to explore and experience classical music.
Using a mix of live action and animation, the film will take young viewers on a journey of wonder through a wide range of pieces - some short complete works, others selected extracts of longer works. Celebrities including Blue Peter's Barney Harwood and Khalil Madovi from CBBC's Four O'Clock Club will share their infectious enthusiasm for the pieces.
