Journey to the South Pacific takes you on an adventure to the tropical islands of West Papua, where a community of islanders has embraced new ways of preserving their local reefs. Join Jawi, a young island boy, as he embarks on a journey of discovery aboard the Kalabia-a former illegal fishing vessel turned into a floating classroom-and encounters whale sharks, sea turtles, manta rays and other iconic creatures of the sea. Home to more than 2,000 species of marine life, this exotic locale features the most diverse marine ecosystem on earth. Narrated by Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, Journey to the South Pacific highlights the importance of living in balance with the ocean planet we call home.
