Shadowing
Please note: This event took place in Oct 2014
When the sun goes down, Shadowing, Watershed's second Playable City Award Winner (from design duo Jonathan Chomko and Matthew Rosier) appears as magical shadows beneath some of the city's street lights revealing traces of those who walked before.
The streetlights come on and traces of those who have passed by will be played back as shadows, re-animating the streets after dark. As you walk under one of the Shadowing street lights, the shadow of a previous visitor will walk, hop or dance beside you. When people interact with these curious shadow figures, their movements are recorded and echoed back to the next passer by.
So keep your eyes peeled - Shadowing can be found in eight places across the city until Fri 31 Oct, letting your shadow carry on exploring the city once you're safely tucked up in bed.
