Special Delivery (1927)

Performer, comedian, dancer, singer, actor, radio star and songwriter (apparently he had a hand in writing the Merry Melodies cartoon theme!) Eddie Cantor began his career in Vaudeville, appearing in the Ziegfeld Follies on Broadway and in many films throughout his illustrious career right into the 1950's. Special Delivery was his second screen comedy and at the time Cantor was still best known for Vaudeville and his stage performances. With his almost trademark skip and a hop entrance into a scene and elaborate chase sequences, this classic film emulates Cantor's comic talents wonderfully.

With an introduction from Oscar®-winner Kevin Brownlow and live piano accompaniment by John Sweeney.

Ticket prices: £8.00 full / £6.50 concessions
