BAFTA Crew Masterclass with Pete Bebb

Talk

Please note: This event took place in Nov 2015

BAFTA Crew presents a masterclass with the BAFTA and Oscar®-winning Visual Effects Supervisor Pete Bebb.

Pete joined Double Negative (one of the world’s largest providers of visual effects for Film) in its founding year as the company’s first Runner. Eight years later, he collected the Special Visual Effects BAFTA and OSCAR® for his work on Christopher Nolan's Inception. His first roles as a 3D Artist, Concept/Previs and Team Lead were on the likes of films such as Die Another Day, Alien vs Predator and Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.

Just two years after beginning his career at Double Negative, Pete started working as Sequence Supervisor and Computer Graphics Supervisor on large scale films such as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, World Trade Center and Captain America. Continuing his collaboration with Christopher Nolan, he worked as the Co-VFX Supervisor on The Dark Knight Rises, for which he was BAFTA-nominated before working as VFX Supervisor on Thor: The Dark World.

In this masterclass Pete will discuss some of the techniques behind Christopher Nolan’s hugely successful The Dark Knight Trilogy as well as his career path in the industry; from runner, 3D artist, CG Supervisor through to his current role as VFX Supervisor.

BAFTA Crew is supported by Creative Skillset’s Film Skills Fund, which is funded by the BFI with National Lottery funds, through the Skills Investment Funds and is run in partnership with Creative England.
