The comic gift that made Colleen Moore one of the top stars at the end of silent period shines throughout this 1929 romantic comedy that also features other period greats such as Jimmy Dorsey. The sparkling Moore stars as a flapper shop girl who discovers the cute guy she dated the night before is actually heir to the store where she works. Now the challenge is to prove that a good-time girl can be a ‘good’ girl too.

If you’re a fan of silent stars Louise Brooks or Clara Bow you’ll love Colleen Moore, who is only less well known today because so few of her films still exist. As bright a star as Hollywood ever produced - receiving up to ten thousand letters a week from adoring fans at the peak of her stardom in the mid-1920s - this elegant romantic comedy shows a dazzling Moore - 30 going on 15! - could never be out-Charleston-ed, even by Clara or the lovely Louise.

With an introduction by stand-up comedian and writer Lucy Porter.
