This gently moving Spanish drama is the third collaboration between Madrid-born director Iciar Bollain and Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty (who has penned many of Ken Loach's films, including I, Daniel Blake).

Alma's (Anna Castillo) family has been producing olive oil in the Baix Maestrat area of Spain's Castellon for generations. Yet changes in the industry have made their traditional practices untenable, and her grandfather is grieving for a thousand-year-old olive tree that the family uprooted and sold to pay off debts. Unable to bear the thought of her grandfather dying without this terrible wrong corrected, Alma embarks on a mission to locate the tree and return it to the family orchard...

A rich, earthy journey into faith, family and the healing of our wounded priorities.
