All aboard! Explore 30 years in the life of world-renowned oceanographer, environmentalist and filmmaker Jacques-Yves Cousteau (Lambert Wilson), who revolutionised sea exploration with his vessel Calypso, his crew of free-spirited adventurers, and his inventive ideas.

We chart his extraordinary life, from his professional triumphs (including inventing an autonomous diving suit that allows him to breathe underwater) and personal failures (his fraught relationship with his son Philippe) set against the backdrop of some stunning locations and a cross-generational family drama (centred on his long-suffering wife, played by Audrey Tautou).

An epic ode to scientific exploration and documentary filmmaking as well as a celebration of the human drive to seek out new realms of discovery, this is a brilliant tribute to one of France's most enduring cultural icons.
