About Laura Plant

Laura is an illustrator, designer, aspiring curator and museum enthusiast. Since graduating from her degree in Illustration at Falmouth University, Laura has moved back to Bristol where she grew up and has been gathering experience working for arts organisations such as Arnolfini, Antlers gallery and Bristol Biennial. While her creative practice originated in drawing she is also interested in design, writing, research and curatorial practice and where these practices can exist together. Her ideas take their inspiration from things such as folklore, superstition, ethnography and natural sciences and she loves working on and creating cross-discipline projects such as exhibitions, publications and events. Laura has worked on collaborative projects such as being one third of a team of three organisers who curated a small film festival and she is currently working on a publication with a friend based on their recent trip to Cuba! Laura is passionate about sustainability and ethical living and spends lots of her time cooking, gardening and practising yoga!
