Post Screening Discussion
Following a screening of Mugabe and the White African Simon Bright, co-director of Afrika Eye Film Festival, led a panel discussion with questions from the audience.
Mugabe and the White African (2009) is a critically acclaimed documentary that follows the lives of a familiy of Zimbabwean farmers who challenged Robert Mugabe's land reforms on the basis of racial discrimination. The family's farm was once one of the biggest producers of mangoes in the country and supplied Marks & Spencer, but had been under virtual seige since 2005 by militia's intent on seizing the land.
