Moksha were commissioned to create a sculpture that is experienced through the sense of smell. The project endeavoured to produce an environment where the unique characteristics of scent perception are harnessed to communicate emotions and ideas.
Various mediums were experimented with to find new ways of augmenting the olfactory experience, and by utilising a combination of techniques and technologies to organise smell stimuli into meaningful content, the project was able to address ways in which scent-based experiences could be deployed into public spaces such as retail, entertainment venues, museums, cinemas and galleries.
Moksha is a creative collective that produces content, experiences and events. By mixing talent from the fields of entertainment, technology and behavioural research the company create multi-sensory content and experiences for brands such as Chanel, who commissioned them in 2010.
