Soundtoys

Soundtoys is a collection of experimental audio visual artworks from over 200 artists, designers, musicians and writers.

Soundtoys.net was a pioneering website instigated by the artist Stanza in 2000 that became the internet’s leading space for the exhibition of exciting new works by audio visual artists. It is a meeting point for the growing community of artists working online and their audiences. In addition to the exhibition of projects, the site contains areas for artists’ interviews, links to resources, and texts by contributing writers exploring more serious and educational issues around interactive arts, audio visual synthesis and generative art.

The site also includes discussions about the history of interactivity. The aim is for an engaging and entertaining site to visit with many creative projects to explore while also providing valuable information on this growing area of interactive creativity.

Watershed supported Stanza to further develop Soundtoys in 2006.

Ended in July 2006
