Participation and our audiences are at the heart of Watershed. We invite you to learn, watch, exchange, create and play with us.Here you will find a diverse range of opportunities - such as professional development schemes, kids' workshops and screenings, artist residencies, filmmaking competitions and stuff for schools - and information on how to get more involved with us and our partners.
We are always open to new ideas and collaborations so do get in touch with Hannah Higginson, our Engagement Projects Producer, if you are interested in having a chat. Hannah works with a wide variety of people to coordinate a diverse range of projects that enable audiences to discover, connect and be creative at Watershed.

Watershed Time Bank
Watershed has grown a significant reputation for its development and use of digital technologies, both in audience engagement and in making work. Always keen to share our knowledge, we are pleased to announce Watershed Time Bank, an opportunity to share thoughts and questions around this fast-moving area.

DepicT! partners up with The Royal Photographic Society for new cinematography award
DepicT!, Watershed's micro short filmmaking competition as part of Encounters Short Film & Animation Festival, is thrilled to announce a new partnership with the Royal Photographic Society which doubles the prize money for its awards and introduce a brand new award celebrating the art of cinematography.

Volunteering
Festivals such as Encounters International Film Festival, Wildscreen and Afrika Eye rely on the help of volunteers. Whenever there are opportunities to volunteer for these and other specific Watershed projects details will be listed here

We offer support for research and development of new ideas using creative technologies through our artists residencies and development programmes
