Hannah works with a wide variety of people to coordinate a diverse range of projects that enable audiences to discover, connect and be creative at Watershed.

  • BAFTA Crew Masterclass: Andy Nicholson on Production Design

    BAFTA Crew presents a masterclass with the BAFTA and Oscar®-nominated Production Designer Andy Nicholson. Continually pushing the use of 3D modeling and CAD software within Film Art Departments, Andy actively seeks to assimilate digital technology with traditional work-flows and methods. He joins the BAFTA Crew programme to discuss the techniques behind the hugely successful, Gravity as well the recently completed science fiction/action drama, Divergent

  • Join the Film Hub South West & West Midlands

    We are thrilled to be welcoming new members to the Film Hub South West and West Midlands!

  • Interface

    Applications are now open for Interface, a unique sharing event that is coming to Bristol this Spring. Conceived by Shakespeare’s Globe as a space for discovering talent and forging links between large cultural institutions and young ambitious digital companies, the event is a opportunity to share ideas and network.

  • DepicT! 2014: We want your shorts

    DepicT! - Watershed's ultra short film competition - is once again challenging filmmakers across the globe to create a movie-masterpiece in just a minute-and-a-half! Whatever your budget, whatever your genre, we want your shorts!

  • 2014 Graduate and new talent competition

    For the second year, we are launching a competition to find two fantastic new Pervasive Media Studio residents to join our vibrant community of artists, creative companies, technologists and academics. The residencies will take place in September and will include a £500 bursary for each selected applicant. We are looking for two individuals who have recently emerged from education, or are at an early stage in their careers.

    This is an open call for Watershed’s Studio Artist Residencies programme, a fantastic opportunity for artists based in the UK, to explore ideas at the point where art, culture and technology meet.

  • Supporting and showcasing tomorrow’s talent with the BFI Film Academy Bristol

    From making and showcasing high-quality super-short documentaries on Bristol matters, to devising, designing, and delivering a fantastic film and music event, this group of talented and ambitious 16 - 19 year olds have made the most of their time with the BFI Film Academy Bristol.

Call for Entries

Do you want to get your work seen? Submit your films to one of Watershed’s competitions or festivals such as Encounters, DepicT! and Electric December

Volunteering

Festivals such as Encounters International Film Festival, Wildscreen and Afrika Eye rely on the help of volunteers. Whenever there are opportunities to volunteer for these and other specific Watershed projects details will be listed here
