Oscar®-winning director Susanne Bier (In A Better World) returns in this ambitious film set in depression-era America. With a strong supporting cast of Brits (Toby Jones, Sean Harris and a deliciously villainous Rhys Ifans among them), this is an enjoyably traditional, extravagant melodrama of bitter jealousy, murder, and cold, unforgiving ambition.
