Suck on This: Testing new approaches to 'feeling' sound with Bone Conducting Gobstoppers

Event

Please note: This event took place in Oct 2016

A free creative workshop for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people

Are you Deaf or hard of hearing? Would you like to explore new ways of ‘feeling’ sound with flavour, colour and texture? How about co-designing a bone conducting gobstopper?

Pervasive Media Studio resident artist Sabrina Shirazi is interested in exploring alternative approaches to experiencing sound and would love to invite Deaf and Hard of Hearing participants to take part in a free creative workshop (we will have two BSL interpreters present throughout).

During the evening (which will last from 18:30 - 20:30) we will explore how you can ‘digest’ sound. You will be feeling vibrations, savouring delicious food, crafting objects and testing Sabrina’s bone conducting gobstoppers. If you don't know what a bone conducting gobstopper is, now is your chance to find out!

This event is now SOLD OUT. To join the waiting list please call Box Office on 0117 927 5100 and we will call you if there are any returns.
