I, Daniel Blake is Ken Loach's Palme d'Or-winning film about the friendship between an out-of-work carpenter and a young single mother forced to navigate the vagaries of the British welfare system. The film is a protest cry for common humanity in the face of the welfare web and is sure to leave everyone moved.

The Mon 24 Oct 18:00 screening of the film will include Descriptive Subtitles (a service for our Deaf and hard of hearing customers that displays additional auditory information on the screen). This screening will also feature an introduction by David Taylor-Matthews, MA Curation student at the University of the West of England. After the screening you can join us for a post-show discussion with audience members: this will also feature simultaneous BSL (British Sign Language) interpretation.
