BFI Film Academy offers opportunities for 16 – 25 year olds, anywhere in the UK, to get to know more about film and how to make a career in the screen industries. We offer a range of courses and events for those wanting to break into film or find out more about what is on offer.

Queer Vision Shorts Showcase & Mixer
Join us on Sun 6 July at 14:30 for Queer Vision’s South West Shorts, followed by a mixer for LGBTQIA+ filmmakers in Watershed’s Cafe & Bar.
16-19 Film Club: Friendship
If you’re aged 16-19, and passionate about cinema, join us at Watershed on Tue July 22 at 17:30 for an intro and post-film discussion in the Pervasive Media Studio (snacks provided).

Make Shift is a space for 18-30 year old creatives to come together in the Pervasive Media Studio at Watershed on the first Tuesday evening of each month to network, get advice and work.
