Asif Kapadia’s documentary, Senna, has won Best Documentary, and Editing awards at the 2012 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards. Director Asif Kapadia and writer/executive producer Manish Pandey were at Watershed last year discussing the film, and you can watch the event here on DShed.

DepicT! challenges filmmakers the world over to make a film lasting just 90 seconds or under, and is now open for entries. Prizes up for grabs include a £1500 cash prize, UK distribution of the winning film, and tailored 6-month package of industry support including BAFTA mentoring!

The Film Policy Review is a major report conducted by the DCMS which examines the British film industry. Watershed's Head of Programme, Mark Cosgrove, has published a manifesto for the UK independent cultural cinema sector, and will be tweeting his thoughts today live from the government film policy review launch.
