Open call for Studio Residencies 2012!

Watershed is offering two UK-based artists the opportunity to spend supported time at Pervasive Media Studio. Artists can apply as individuals or groups, and will receive research, development and production support in a two-month residency beginning 1 Oct 2012, and culminating in a showcase event in early December. Deadline for applications: 9am, 11th June 2012. Find out more.

The Alphasphere wins Exporting For Growth award!

The Alphasphere has won the Exporting For Growth award, a national initiative to help smaller British enterprises boost their sales and enter export markets. Developed by technology start-up nu desine as part of Media Sandbox 2010, the Alphasphere is a new musical instrument which reclaims production from the computer and moves it back into the instument. DepicT! shortlisted filmmaker Tim Bassford has won The Pitch

Tim Bassford, whose film The Launderette won the DepicT! '11 audience award, has also won The Pitch, a short film competition that offers its winner a £30,000 budget to make a film. More info here. Congratulations Tim!
