Watershed is offering two UK-based artists the opportunity to spend supported time at Pervasive Media Studio. Artists can apply as individuals or groups, and will receive research, development and production support in a two-month residency beginning 1 Oct 2012, and culminating in a showcase event in early December. The Alphasphere has won the Exporting For Growth award, a national initiative to help smaller British enterprises boost their sales and enter export markets. Developed by technology start-up nu desine as part of Media Sandbox 2010, the Alphasphere is a new musical instrument which reclaims production from the computer and moves it back into the instument.
