The Film Policy Review is a major report conducted by the DCMS which examines the British film industry. Watershed's Head of Programme, Mark Cosgrove, has published a manifesto for the UK independent cultural cinema sector, and will be tweeting his thoughts today live from the government film policy review launch.

DepicT! '11 winning film Wake continues to inspire accolades, and is now one of six winning films in Current TV's (a cable television network and media company led by Al Gore) Current Short Cuts competition. Huge congratulations to Nick Fogg, and all involved with the film!

Mark Cosgrove, Watershed's Head of Programme, is one of four canditates running to sit on the Board of Governers at the BFI. You can view the election booklet containing Mark's and the other three candidates' applications. Members of the NFT and Sight & Sound subscribers can cast their vote by internet or telephone by Tue 20 Dec.
