18 Summers

Digital Stories by fourteen older people (aged 50+) from across Europe, recording their memories of the summer they turned eighteen.

In March 2010 fourteen older learners (aged 50+) from across Europe spent a week at Watershed making a Digital Story – exploring and recording their memories of the summer they turned eighteen.

Digital Stories are short digital films that are put together using personal archive material (such as photographs), digital technology, and the maker’s own life experience.

Through a week of workshops led by Watershed the participants learnt how to use digital technology in a creative and personally meaningful way, and met and worked with people from different European cultures.

18 Summers was funded with support from the European Commission.

Ended in March 2010
