FilmWorks Launch - It Begins With An Idea...

Where do ideas come from? How do you know if your idea is worth pursuing? How does an idea develop into a “creative package” that can then be pitched? And at what point does the audience begin to matter?

In this event recording, a panel of industry professionals explored these questions, and looked at how filmmakers can develop their ideas to pitch and beyond.

The panel:

Peter Lord is co-owner and creative director of award-winning Bristol-based animation studio, Aardman Animations.

Julie Lockhart is a BAFTA-nominated producer who worked on Aardman’s The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists!

Alison Sterling is owner of Ignition Films and producer of Flying Blind.

Kasia Klimkiewicz is a filmmaker, and directed Flying Blind.

Chaired by Mark Cosgrove, Watershed’s Head of Programme.
