PUSH ME in 90 Seconds: Panel Discussion

The PUSH ME Collection is a series of 90 second films about 12 artists who are pushing themselves to reach previously unattained goals. PUSH ME is a Watershed produced collaboration which follows the journey of 12 artists working as part of Unlimited, the Cultural Olympiad programme focusing on disability.

The PUSH ME films are being shown on The Space, a new deliberately experimental service, managed by Arts Council England and developed in partnership with the BBC. It has been designed to give arts and culture organisations the opportunity to experiment and engage with new and existing audiences in a completely innovative digital environment at thespace.org.

In this event recording, a panel of professionals involved with PUSH ME discuss the genesis of the project, and discuss, taking questions from the audience.

The Panel:

Sue Austin is a multimedia, performance and installation artist and produced Creating the Spectacle! for PUSH ME.

John Durrant is creative director of BDH, vice chair of the Royal Television Society, Bristol, and director of the PUSH ME films.

Sarah Pickthall is a Creative and Cultural Diversity Specialist and co-curator of PUSH ME.

Sue Williams is Senior Officer for Diversity at Arts Council England.

Chaired by Dick Penny, Managing Director at Watershed.
