Atsuhiko Yasuda is the President of XOOMS Corporation, a company he founded in 2006. He is also serving as The Lab. Researcher at Knowledge Capital Association. With a background in aerospace engineering, he has gained extensive experience in the development of advanced spaceplanes and commercial jet engines. Yasuda’s passion for novel and exciting endeavours is evident in his life’s motto, “All life is an experiment.”

At XOOMS, he has been dedicated to creating innovative content that merges technology with visuals. This includes visualizing scientific and technical data, creating interactive content with cameras and sensors, and producing VR/MR content. He has also ventured into the realm of video production with generative AI. XOOMS has developed visually engaging content for diverse audiences using the latest technology, including XR, with a variety of partners. Their work also involves leveraging these creative assets to enhance the quality of products and services in various industries. In this talk, Yasuda will share a few of his notable projects that exemplify these endeavours.

Directions:
The Lunchtime talks take place in the Pervasive Media Studio Event Space. To access the Studio, please go to the Main Watershed Box Office entrance and go upstairs to the Café Bar. Walk across the cafe bar, turn right and walk towards the double doors. Go through into the corridor and walk all the way down until you reach the Studio. A member of staff will sign you in, and check your ticket, if you have booked.

The Studio is wheelchair accessible, and the events space has a hearing loop. The last talk of every month is BSL interpreted.
