The year is 1986… DJ Cheeba in the Café & Bar takes us back in time with a DJ/VJ set inspired by the riot of day-glo design and music that is Absolute Beginners, the British movie musical for the MTV generation. From the chart-topping title theme and more from Bowie’s 80s repertoire to Sade and The Style Council with a sprinkling of The Tube and MTV thrown in the mix, this audio-visual journey by Bristol’s DJ/VJ maestro DJ Cheeba will be a blast.
Dressing up (or down) is encouraged, think along the lines of The Face, the original, definitive style magazine. Our official photographer will be on the lookout for stand-out styles and some may even get a prize...
