With a wordless interdependence and easy rhythm within the small family unit, the film explores a kind of rite of passage as father and daughter must face up to the fact it’s time for her to live her own life. Eloquent performances from a fine ensemble cast, including Denis regulars Alex Descas and Grégoire Colin, anchor this delicate celebration of love.
