I completed the sonic maze!
My first journey was unsucessful but I was thrilled to return and quest again. Like a video game I was able to reload and rock on.
I am really proud of the Sonic Maze and its contribution to the development of a pervasive approach to what we we do at Contact.
The Sonic Maze evolved into a form that felt like a game. There was a real sense of play. It was definitely a Co-Op game with collaboration at its core.
Jez provided some great voice work and narration and it was fantastic to see groups of people entangled web-like with headphones playing in the parking lot journeything through invisible walls, water, and following the sirens call!
I dont think an audience would have been so publicly playful with out the the audio created maze and the collective immersion of the experience.
I was really excited by the turn out and response to the game. We had twice the audience we were prepared for and were able to give everyone a go!
There was a great mix of our core 13-30 audience plus familes and other folks new to the building.
I want to thank Theatre Sandbox for a great opportunity and we are excited to welcome Mind the Gap back to Contact to bring another production to the building.
We are excited to build a relationship with Mind the Gap and to continue to explore pervasive possibilites.
