Craft + Technology Residencies: Money No Object
In this residency Heidi re-imagined the designed object of money, exploring what could happen if beautifully crafted ‘coins’ could trigger truly invaluable and enriching points of exchange.One year on from the Crafts Council and Watershed’s Craft + Technology residency, artist Heidi Hinder is delighted to report that ‘Money No Object’ has just been awarded some further research and development funding. This support will enable Heidi to work with Seb Madgwick, Director and Lead Engineer from x-io Technologies and Irini Papadimitriou, Digital Programmes Manager at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
A more developed version of this social donations system will be showcased at the V&A’s Digital Design Weekend, in September 2014. Hope to see you there!
