Smudge is an exciting Bristol-based magazine produced by and for young people. It explores art and culture in the city and beyond.

Over the last couple of months Smudge have been holding their fortnightly editorial meetings at the Pervasive Media Studio. They have been developing their ideas through drawing games, magazine research and through visits to the Arnolfini, Bristol Evening Post and Hillcrest School. Smudge have been keeping a blog on their website.

Here are some exerpts from the Smudge Blog where they have described working at the Pervasive Media Studio:

"We talked about our reading choices - the team liked reading everything from the latest Antony Horowitz novel to yummy recipes and the instructions for pokemon. We then went for a tour around the Media studios. We marvelled at the latest technological research - new games, new i-phone m-scapes."

"It can sometimes be a bit like Piccadilly Circus in here with all manner of artistic folk passing by."

We are really looking forward to seeing the finished magazine and hope that Smudge continue to enjoy using the Pervasive Media Studio as their Editorial Office. It is great having them around keeping the place buzzing with creativity and excitement.
