This year Encounters International Film Festival treats you to two fantastic events exploring different aspects of pervasive media. Duncan Speakman invites you to a piece of pervasive drama at its best; fashion popcorn gathers filmmakers, fashion aficionados and digital media practitioners to learn and debate issues around fashion, film and digital media.

as if it were the last time: Thursday, 18 November 2010, 6pm

Duncan Speakman’s beautiful piece “as if it were the last time” premiered in the UK in late 2009 and has since then captured audiences in Sao Paulo, Hong Kong and Amsterdam. Taking the unique form of a subtlemob, “as if it were the last time” invites you to download an audio piece and meet at a specific time and place. As you press play, you will experience a film without cameras. Through a mix of music, story and instructions, you will see the everyday British street scene as if you have never seen it before.

Places are free, but limited. Please sign up at: http://subtlemob.com

Duncan's new subtlemob “Our Broken Voices” will premiere at Bristol´s Inbetween Time Festival on 2 December. Click here to secure your place.
