Emilie and Duncan met Annette and her team at the Netherlands Media Arts Institute (NIMK) and were shown around the impressive building. The pair decided to introduce 'We Are Forests' and the thinking around the piece in two pop-up workshops; one focused on lo-fi sound machines and methods of unusual communication and the other to explore the use of current communication technologies.
