The iShed team just returned from taking eleven creative producers to South By Southwest Interactive 2011. SXSW is one of the leading interactive festivals worldwide, featuring five days of conferencing, networking and exhibiting, with a focus on showcasing the latest ideas around emerging technologies.

The trip was part of iShed’s Development Programme for Creative Producers, which continues with a summer school at the Studio in June. Traveling to SXSW brought together established and emerging producers from different art-forms and inspired and expanded their understanding of digital projects. The intensive five-day summer school will reunite the group for personal and project development and focus intensively on creative technology production. It runs in partnership with the UWE’s Digital Cultures Research Centre and is facilitated by established practitioners from different pervasive media practices, including many Studio associates.

All of the producers (here's a list of the exciting participants selected for the programme) have blogged from the trip, so find out more by visiting the iShed microsite and blog.
