Physical printed artworks with embedded interactivity and games.The first week on the New Talent residency started with a bang as expected. Between meeting lots of new faces, including the other amazing New Talent residents, we were treated to a host of exciting activities and talks which have inspired exciting conversations.... and a skill swap...

Playable Prints are physical printed artworks with embedded interactivity and games. The idea has developed from my recent work on the MA Printmaking programme at UWE, where I embedded looping video footage into screenprints.

I’m now itching to add gameplay and explore ways to make the physical and digital integrations appear more seamless.
And starting my journey learning more about Unity, a popular game development engine, with the aim of creating some rough and ready games to test.
I always like to dive head first into a project, when sometimes my brain gets carried away with the infinite world of possibilities, coming to the end of the first week there are a few strong messages to takeaway: quickly test ideas and keep it simple
