Last week's episode of BBC Radio 4's Material world presented by Quentin Cooper had a whole section on Bats,  - which was all about a new citizen science project Bat Detective that invites the general public to help analyse data from a huge worldwide Bat survey to idenitfy which bats were recorded where by looking at the sonograms ... there are thousands of hours of ultrasonic recordings!.  Listen again to the programme - first broadcast on October 4th here...

Quentin will be presenting the Cafe Scientifique at the Bedford performance of Vocal Migrations on December 8th, and will lead a panel discussion with the project collaborators... looking forward to that!
