We are really excited to share that the brand new Bristol Games Hub, founded by Studio alumni Debbie and Tomas Rawlings from Auroch Digital and current resident Ben Trewhella from Opposable Games, is now up and running in the heart of Stokes Croft.

The Bristol and South West games community has been building a real sense of momentum and excitement over the last couple of years with some fantastic new companies and games being created here. From the monthly [anti]socials and games jams run at the Studio, to the rise of nationally acclaimed meet ups like ExPlay and the XX Games Jam, the UKs first ever all-female games jam, the time is definitely right to cluster some of that energy and for development studios, freelancers and academics to have a place to share ideas, resources, skills and expertise.

Bristol Games Hub has been set up as a sister studio to the Pervasive Media Studio and, like us, is based on an open and collaborative model of participation, which means residency in the Hub is about being part of the wider gaming community.

The hub will run game-related events including game jams and hacks, socials, training and networking, talks, presentations and unconferences.  We are really looking forward to continuing to work with them on lots of exciting projects and sharing, scheming and supporting one another in the coming months and years.
