There was a strong Pervasive Media Studio presence at last night’s fantastic #TwitterLive event, a unique and interactive journey to the heart of Twitter held at a secret pop up location in London.

Twitter UK Advertising invited a cohort of producers, technologists and start ups including a number of people and companies from the Studio community here to recreate a real-world environment that emulates the social media site.

Studio resident Katherine Jewkes was appointed as part of the curating team. Studio-based media agency Strange Thoughts, combined their mind controlled beer pouring robot, Homer with fellow resident Duel's user generated content software, encouraging boozy jedi’s to compete to see who has the best mind-controlled-beer-pouring face!

Resident game designer Simon Johnson re-awakened The Tweeture especially for the event, after a couple of years in hibernation. The Tweeture is a loveable monster that is escorted around a conference by guests. Syncing their Twitter profile allows The Tweeture to let their handler know how they feel in response to movement. Needless to say his appearance at the event was a hit, with selfies galore appearing under the #TwitterLive hashtag.

Fresh from the launch of his new website this week, resident Tim Kindberg suspended a large-scale physical 'Vorb' sphere of video content from the ceiling. Controlled via an iPad on the ground, the Vorb pulled content from the web under a common hashtag, and visitors were encouraged to access the content by rotating the giant sphere.

A great night was had by all and we were really pleased to see such a strong representation from both the Studio and the South West.
