The REACT team are looking for a sparky, independent and experienced producer to manage and support a dynamic portfolio of collaborative digital projects. REACT currently runs three funding programmes, and are looking for additional producer support for two of these - the development (up to £15k) and prototyping (up to £30k) funds.
The successful applicant will join the team to manage a number of these projects (the portfolio is expected to be up to 10 projects) – working with the funding recipients to ensure they are as innovative and well produced as they can be. The work is 2.5 days a week for a 6-month period. There is a fee of £10,000 (inclusive of VAT if applicable), with additional travel budget.
The work will involve:
- Identifying University Academics and Creative Companies who might want to apply to REACT
- Brokering partnerships and helping develop brilliant scale-able ideas for the development and prototype funds
- Production support for funded projects; this includes working with recipients on creative direction, user experience, business development, the formulation of milestones and outputs, contracts, deadlines, project budgets, monitoring and evaluation
- Working with REACT Partners communications departments to manage the production and publishing of project marketing and publicity online and for PR purposes
- Working with the REACT Research Fellow to develop and deliver evaluation, case studies and impact measurement
- An understanding of planning, producing/ project managing digital media projects
- A good network of contacts in the creative industries
- An enthusiastic and persuasive outlook
- Experience of pitching/communicating projects to a wide range of audiences
- A willingness and ability to travel across the REACT region (Exeter, Bath, Cardiff, Bristol)
- To be highly organised, self-motivated and self-administering
- The ability to work as part of a team
- An understanding of the potential for Knowledge Exchange between Universities and Creative Economy businesses
